Lanier,

What a blessing to be able to read something from you again! I've missed your thoughts, insights, and musings so very much.

Congratulations on getting published in Inkblots. But, you know, I've ALWAYS thought of you a writer!

At last...after faithfully checking this site for the last...::counts on fingers::...nine months, a new essay from you, Lanier! Beautiful, as always, and just the reminder I needed for where life has me at the moment.

I just knew I needed to check out your site! What joy to see your post!
Lanier, I loved what you have written - it is such a sweet reminder (and
encouragement to me) to take the time to create something of beauty
every day - whether it's a journal entry or taking the time to pick that
fragile fern frond and place it on my windowsill. Those precious reminders
that God is the ultimate Creator of everything lovely.
Speaking of doing what you are passionate about - I distinctly remember
the first time I heard a young bride exclaim, "Mom, the photographer's here!"
Frank and I looked at each other and grinned. (I said, honey, she's talking about you!) We've often reflected back on that and laughed. I jokingly say - wow, I'm married to the photographer! smile
Liz was so right - Philip is married to THE writer!
I am so very proud of you.
