"Once upon a time we all walked on the golden road. It was a fair highway. through the Land of Lost Delight: shadow and sunshinewere blessed mingled, and every turn and dip revealed a fresh charmand a new loveliness to eager hearts and unspoiled minds." L.M.M

Thank you for recalling to my mind such a golden time. We are blessed to have the ones who walked with us through them yet at our side. Love, Rebekah

Bands of iron that bind, though, each, our weaknesses...and time..and space. There is something stronger than we at work here (and always has been).
Bless Him, Divine Love, who allows heaven to mingle with earth and give iron it's strenghth!
{ My dear girl, where did you find such a picture! Me thinks you might have more such treasures hidden in your trunk. I am planning a raid and scan expedition.)

Lanier,

I just want to tell you what a tremendous impact you have had on my life through your writing both on this site and on YLCF. I am often encouraged and blessed. I was thinking last night, "Lanier must be a wonderful lady in person...I wish I could meet her." Then I remembered that one day I *will* meet you...in heaven! Thank you for the blessing you have been.

God bless,

Lauren

*sigh* That left my heart full, and eyes teary :-)

Just last evening, as the sun shone it's strongest just before it sank behind looming mountains, I walked the few miles with Dorothy to my favorite clearing. And there, quiet unexpectedly, golden memories of a countryside, seemly so far away now, and of laughing, happy children now grown and pursuing "adult things", came flooding my mind. Ah, me! where does the time go? One moment I long to hold on to those happy days, and live them to their fullest. And the next moment I am too overcome with joy at the life my Lord has given me to live...then and now. Like you, I am so very grateful.

Thank You Lanier for sharing. I am glad there are still women, like you, who are not too "old" and "modern" to re-live such happy, romantic, friendship-filled moments. :-)
