Oh, Lanier, I am so sad for you and Philip! We do give our hearts to small creatures who wriggle their way into our affections. There's never been a time in my life when I did not have a cat close by, so I have grieved deeply many times through the years for those who have gone to their own places. Calvin was blessed; remember him with joy and smiles and tenderness.

Lanier ~ I weep with you over the loss of Calvin... the excerpt from 'Mistress Pat' brought back a flood of memories of dearly loved pets. How much we love them
and miss them when they go!
